We need a body on the m.i.c.

A quick and panic fuelled post here. Things in the art world being what they are, my good friend and collaborator Omari Newton has ventured west (and I don’t mean NDG… I mean Van city) because of a great acting gig. As happy as I am for the man, that leaves my band, The Morph-tet without an MC for our upcoming shows, one of which is an album launch. Are there any funky folks out there that want to rock a mic? If so, check out the song “Bushido” on our myspace. I wouldn’t necessarily want the same lyrics (or you can keep ‘em if you want … but I know vocalists are about writing as much as performing), so long as the song structure stays the same (in terms of amount of bars of vocals) and the lyrics you bring aren’t about bling, bitches and gangbangers. There is also a cover that we do, which I can let you know about later. I don’t think this needs to be said, but just in case: just because our previous MC was male doesn’t mean we’re stuck on that sound - all we care about is if you can bring the funk! 2 songs - at least 3 shows … not a whole lot of commitment - but I can almost guarantee you’ll have fun. We’re all about enjoying the evening and making good music… if you are too I’d love to hear from you.

Oh yeah - the first show is June 1st … 3 cheers for procrastination! Please please please someone help me out!
