Want to Play Fringe POP?

Fringe POP is like an extended Spring preview of the musical awesomeness that POP brings to town in October. The alliance between the Fringe Festival of Montreal and POP Montreal is a fruitful and bounteous thing, and this year Indyish has been welcomed in to the action by these seriously arts-community-oriented org’s. Isn’t it nice when folks just get along?

POP Montreal books bands to play at the main outdoor venue of the Fringe Festival throughout the 10 days of the fest - June 7-17. They book the musical “prime time” =) of 6-9pm everyday- including the weekends- which this year will be bumping with hundreds of thousands of people as St.Laurent boulevard is closed for a barrage of street fests. To apply to play during this bonanza, you need to get a CD into the waiting hands of those POP folks, busy walking around town with their ears to the ground.

Indyish will be working closely with POP and Fringe to book a barrage of art and music and performance on the main stage from 12-6pm daily. We’re thinking dance, performance art, acoustic bands, and more.
