Video Clip - Daniel Schachter at Divan Orange

Here’s a quick and blurry video bit, shot from near the back of Divan Orange last night where I got to take in Daniel Schacher’s solo act. It was cozycrowded in Divan Orange, as this venue tends to be with its warm, big, bright art and smart booking; where shows always start after 10pm because that’s when Montreal starts prowling. Don’t know why, but it’s a fact, sometimes at night, even in the dead of winter, Montreal feels like a very small town: the streets are full and casual and everyone knows each other by one degree of separation. Anyway. This noisy clip is zoomed from the back of the room on a handheld digital point and shoot, sorry! But this moment from Dan’s set is the last bit of a great song. A diamond in the blur and the rough, consider it a promise of more Indyish video blogging to come. Ah! A New Year’s resolution!
