As previously mentioned, one of the biggest changes included in this month’s site upgrades is the new Image Uploader. i won’t go over all the awesome features again, but i will say this:
Uploading Images and adding them to your posts just got even easier.
That is to say:
If you do nothing at all, it will choose all the right settings for you.
Just uploading your image (as you normally would) and choosing “Send to editor” is enough. You can safely ignore all the new settings and the system will automatically resize the image correctly, create a proper thumbnail, add the thumbnail to your post, create a clickable link around the thumbnail that will show a popup preview of the full sized image (using the “thickbox” effect), and finally, it will align the image to the left causing all the remaining text to wrap around nicely. These are all the default actions performed by the new image uploader - suitable for typical blog and product posts - and we recommend using them. Ofcourse, many of these settings can be manually adjusted - for those who really want to get down to the nitty gritty.
So, if you are an Indyish member, check out the last post i did and keep an eye out for the complete help file (coming soon) on “How to Upload Images”. In the meantime, you can always ask a question on the forums, or send an email to: info @ indyish.com if you need some help with any of this. Note: Some image(s) from older posts may look strange/distorted. To fix this, the image(s) needs to be re-uploaded using the new Image Uploader. New posts will not have this problem.
Other site updates include:
As always, if you notice anything that you think might be a bug, please send an email to: bugs @ indyish.com
