hey! This from sweet Robyn, who at times blogs here at Indyish, and who sings with me in a sometimes choir, and who is in a brand newish bone-humming band!!
Yes, it is true, Triceratreetops is a band and I am in it and so are Richard and Charlotte. I have been told (by people who came to our last show) that we rock and are awesome. Also that we are sexy and cool. And super-intelligent. And that we should be President of the World. Yeah, I know! We were flattered, we said, “Oh, stop, you!” and we giggled behind our hands.
Some of this happened.
But wait wait, wait, what’s in fact happening is that we’re playing this Thursday! Oh and we are ready, ready with whatever it is we sound like (lately we’re saying our influences are neu!, kraftwerk, boredoms, six organs of admittance, spacemen 3, the sound of rain on a plexiglass roof, shallow fog, and many other things that combine to form sound.) If you are also ready, we would love to see you.
Triceratreetops, The Other Thing, There Were Valleys (these bands are also good fun!)
Thursday, Nov. 30at The Playhouse - 5656 Ave du Parc (across from the Uniprix, and kinda next to the dollar store)
$5 for all this, show starts at 10pm (we are up first!)And check out the great poster Richard did. It tells you all of the above but much more concisely, and in drawing form.
Please pass this on to your friends who also listen to things.

i’m super-excited about this show! triceratreetops is amazing.
i have to say that i might be tempted to pole dance. i have some dance moves that kind of resemble pole dancing w/o the pole. remember when there was that weird pole dancing fitness fad? funny how that never really caught on.
