Triceratreetops - Robyn’s band’s first show yo!

this from a robyn email today… robyn and i have co-authored poem books and sung together in choir and written all sorts of blurby-blurbs re indyish works… i am a fan, and will be at this show cheerin.

so! the summertime was pretty busy for summertime, i’m gonna say, but part of my busyness was due to being in the band i’m in - and finally we are getting up on a stage and doing one of the things we do. a more loud thing than a quiet thing this time: richard williams on drums and oscillator, charlotte scott on bass, and me on synthesizer. plus some other instruments. and what do we sound like? we sound like a lot of things - you’ll have to come and figure that out. i think we sound good! “influences” on our sound, perhaps? things like neu!, boredoms, six organs of admittance, loud stuff, quiet stuff, a lot of small things, the stuff we listened to in high school, the stuff we listened to three hours ago, the stuff you put on a mix tape for us in 1997 and we were like how did you know??!

set times - yes, we are on first, ooh! i have not heard noh cars go, but they feature member(s) of arcade fire (name drop alert name drop alert), and i have heard dead bush many times and love them, hamborghinni is perhaps more of an aquired taste as they are noisey but they have a thing going on for sure:
