The Snowbed - ars melancholiae

So I’ve been toying with the idea of starting a bit of a fashion column but as soon as I’d try to start writing, I would start off with a serie of photos and have nothing to say. I’ve been taking photos for a bit over a year now and have never been much of a writer, so it just comes naturally. Recently, in my quest to get the world wide web more organised for my brain, I got a tumblr! After dealing with a slight case of insomnia, not being in school for the first time in 15 years and empty pockets, I decided to transfer the many folders of saved inspiration photos on my hard disk onto the already pretty loaded internet. I’ve always been big on research, so over the years, I’ve managed to get a wide variety of photos and so having a place to share them made sense. It all started with the photo serie ”The Snowbed - ars melancholiae” by Jan Von Holleben which struck a chord for me in a big way and then was followed by over 5 pages in about a week worth of anything from illustrations, to portraits, to videos, to anything I personally find visually stimulating.
