My title is a little misleading. It’s me on a solo scavenger hunt and I need you to tell me what to hunt…
I’m in New York City for the weekend and I need help. I expect to go absolutely shutter crazy while I am here (it’s my first time!), but I want to borrow the creative spirit of any and all Indyish-folk. I want you to email or text message me requests for specific things that you would like me to capture with my camera.
Hence, the scavenger hunt aspect of this post.
I am counting on your clever and unconventional minds to bypass the requests for pictures of classic New York scenes and oddities (the Statue of Liberty, the Chrysler Building, naked singing cowboy in Times Square) and move right to things on a more micro-scale (street level) stuff… Examples I have received so far: tourist couple in matching track suits, colourful water towers (that’s colorful in America!), armed guards on the street, the look on peoples’ faces as they step out of a yellow cab…
Here’s the first photo I took, because it had to be taken…
So if you have ideas, email me at tristanbrand@gmail.com or text me at (oh god, about to hand out phone number…) (514)999-0666. i’m here until 6.30am Monday morn. I will post the results when I return home.

This one may be difficult…how about a picture of someone else taking a picture of someone else taking a picture. It may be possible around famous places…I don’t know but THAT’S WHAT I GOTS TA HAVE!!
