Nothing But Terminator

This is my new favorite art form: music made with nothing but the material provided by a single movie. In this case, the bumpin’ Terminator 2, directed by James Cameron. This clip really gets going at the motorcycle scenes:

Upular – movie remixed into song

What’s amazing to me is how very musical this remix is, especially given that the only sounds that were added by the artist (POGO!) were chords and beats – all the vocals are true samples, no auto tune (I believe.) I suggest we dance out the holiday heebies jeebies and lets get back to real [...]

A Different Story

Too soon. Without making any sound the autumn has taken its last breath. Grey leaves lie silently on the frozen ground, all color drained from their veins. Once [...]

The Beatles Never Broke Up – album story from another dimension

In another dimension The Beatles never broke up and none ever never died and one brave dessert tripper has brought us back an album of evidence.

He then explained that the real danger of using one of the machines was exploring new dimensions. Since there are an infinite amount of Earths in other dimensions, only [...]

Where The Wild Things Are Remixed – videos

Of course those internet rapscalions are ravaging the hopeful joyful childlike wonder of Where The Wild Things Are for their own slutty, ironic and nefarious purposes. Of course.

The Golden Age of Video – remix music video

We came, we saw, we kicked it’s ass – danceable Ghostbusters remix anew, at last!

Pulp Fiction Audio Remixed Into Music

Laborious no doubt but so worth it, sampling and coaxing Pulp Fiction’s audio makes for a danceable track that also has narrative and bits of character and somehow the whole essence of that dark, catchy, hilarious film.

400 Lonely Things – free indie MP3 made of clips from Night Of The Living Dead

A project over a year in the making, “Tonight of the Living Dead” is a collage created by indie, instrumental remix artists 400 Lonely Things. It consists of reconstructed audio from the 1968 George Romero film “Night of the Living Dead,” and is quite lovely even in all it’s haunting.
400 Lonely Things “Tonight” (mp3) [...]

Symphony of Science – Carl Sagan Remix Redux + MP3

We are all connected, and when wise artists remix scientists to make dance music I feel like my mind gets stretched wider then by science alone, and as the beat shakes me from folicles to feet, our universal interconnection is increasingly undeniable.

MP3 available at http://www.symphonyofscience.com.
“We Are All Connected” was made from sampling Carl Sagan’s Cosmos, [...]
