This is my new favorite art form: music made with nothing but the material provided by a single movie. In this case, the bumpin’ Terminator 2, directed by James Cameron. This clip really gets going at the motorcycle scenes:
What’s amazing to me is how very musical this remix is, especially given that the only sounds that were added by the artist (POGO!) were chords and beats – all the vocals are true samples, no auto tune (I believe.) I suggest we dance out the holiday heebies jeebies and lets get back to real [...]

Of course those internet rapscalions are ravaging the hopeful joyful childlike wonder of Where The Wild Things Are for their own slutty, ironic and nefarious purposes. Of course.
Laborious no doubt but so worth it, sampling and coaxing Pulp Fiction’s audio makes for a danceable track that also has narrative and bits of character and somehow the whole essence of that dark, catchy, hilarious film.
A project over a year in the making, “Tonight of the Living Dead” is a collage created by indie, instrumental remix artists 400 Lonely Things. It consists of reconstructed audio from the 1968 George Romero film “Night of the Living Dead,” and is quite lovely even in all it’s haunting.
