Awww, two of our Indyish writers play in a band and they make music and it’s really cute. Laura Barrett played the Kalimba and the foot organ and sang made-up horoscopes to audience members. Give it a listen, here. She then joined the Phonemes who’s name i can’t pronounce, no matter how hard i try.

While I don’t want to dissuade you from attending the Monthly Mess this Wednesday, I do want to let you know about a show that’s happening the same night. Maybe there can be some cross-mingling, though I’m sure most of the crowd will be on Parc at the Playhouse, watching a huge range of acts [...]

Peep this venue. Indyish held it’s first Monthly Mess in this cavernous den that could be described as the Zoobizarre of the red light district.
The Stance are a poppy Halifax group with sixties influences.
Bedbugbite are me, Johnathan Stewart, Ted Kulczycky, and Greg (still don’t know his last name). We promise to make a [...]
Here’s a short video clip from Friday’s show at Main Hall. Papercut Productions pulled in a great crowd for bands Navet Confit, Hollerado, The Mr. Move, and Bedbugbite.
Hollerado were dressed in suits and played tight, distorted sixties pop. Great vocals and interesting progressions made for an awesome set where another band might have bored [...]
This Friday April 6th come see my band, Bedbugbite, open for New York rapper, The Mr. Move, local rockers, Hollerado, and French pop group, Navet Confit.
Bedbugbite plays loud, melodic, poppy songs and includes indyish’s own Jonathan Stewart, Ted Kulczycky, the husband of worn fashion journal’s editor-in-chief, and the wonderful Greg, whose last name I [...]
