On the third Thursday of the sixth month of the year two thousand six, six musicians will be divided into three groups of two.

Mick Turner and Jim White of seminal Australian trio The Dirty Three perform as Tren Brothers. With Spar and Automatic (Mary Margaret O’hara and Aidan Closs) and Bernier - Trottier.

The Tren Brothers is a drums’n'Fender duo made up of Mick Turner and Jim White of The Dirty Three. Slow, expansive and positively hypnotic, their music takes a leisurely stroll down a sun dappled country lane. Turner and White know just how much activity is needed to spread across their languid compositions. Turner and White have also played with Cat Power, Boxhead Ensemble and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy.

Bernier/Trottier deliver melodies influenced at the same time by American Folk and quiet ambient music, with continuous and hypnotizing electro-acoustics.
