Carla Bozulich is best known as the singer from LA-based band Geraldine Fibbers. She has one of the most unique voices in any genre. Her work is at once brutally raw and weirdly visionary. In 2005 Carla rekindled a decade-old connection with Montreal-based musicians affiliated with the Constellation label, leading to a recording at that city’s legendary Hotel2Tango, and the release of her Evangelista. In 2007 Evangelista became the official band name of Carla’s project, and her follow-up record “Hello, Voyager” was once again recorded at the Hotel2Tango, with core co-conspirators Tara Barnes and Shahzad Ismaily and with contributions from a large cast of Montreal-based musicians.

Oneida is a rock band from New York. Their influences include psychedelic rock, krautrock, and hard rock, but the overall structure and intent of their music cannot be easily traced to any of these styles, or the myriad other styles they have drawn upon in recordings. In addition to the use of repetition that easily outstrips the patience of most casual listeners, Oneida’s music can be distinguished by the band members’ extensive use of, and enthusiasm for, antique keyboards and analog electric pianos.
