A new kind of design show has emerged on the Montreal scene. Housed in a 15,000 sq. ft. former garment industry loft, smart design mart showcases a blend of seasoned show veterans and first-time, fresh-from-the-studio exhibitors, with each hand-picked designer selling from a self-created mini boutique space.

Putting a modern spin on the classic artisan fair, the curators of smart design mart (Furni, Broundoor, Elaine Ho, Supayana, Norwegian Wood, and HQ galerie + boutique) offer up a dynamic mix of the handmade, including clothing, jewelry, furniture, art, and publications, as well as select vintage goods, all served up in a space that features roomy aisles (yay!). Also on offer are food, drink, music, and live art.
