Shots from the free photo shoot for artists

During the insta-boutique at the Holla-Days weekend Indyish coordinated a free photoshoot for artists. Darren Curtis and Nicolas Cote volunteered their photography skills, Alena Bras and Sarah Beall modeled, and Emilie Marzinotto and Maryanna Hardy did most of the styling with input from the models and photographers and other people around. This was a great way to meet a few new artists, to get some good shots for Indyish artists just coming on board and to keep the venue lively with creative action during the quieter moments of the sale. Also- twas fun.

Check out this moineau bag, made by Andrea MacLeod who came by the sale to say hi and see if she could actually get pictures taken for free… turns out yesss! We hope these will be available on Indyish soon..

Here’s a wicked picture of Sarah- writer of some Indyish at Pop blogs and some apparently sweetly scandalous Lickety-Split submissions. I like how she has a pretty ridiculous amount of stuff on and is laughing, lookin delightful. She’s wearing a hat made by Sara Johnston, a t-shirt by Luka Sky, a belt by iisa designs, mittens by Detention, and holding a bag made fantastic by Tyson Bodnarchuk of Headquarters.

also I love these pictures of Alena, a film maker, photgrapher, student who I’ve gotten to meet and work with through Tessa. I’m not sure which pic Serah from Worn would like better…but maybe the drama one. Just guessing.

Honey Flower homemade, organic body stuff was the hit of the Insta-boutique and the couple who makes the stuff is super freakin nice- we hung out with them the whole time because they decided to stick around and shop and help us out. These guys you will definitely see on Indyish soon!
