The Indyish network is now at the point of looking for a crucial new team member: Admin / Project Manager. We are a young group that’s grown into a thriving community hub over the past 2 years, working with an expanding network of independent artists and volunteers. National news coverage on CTV recently called Indyish one of the biggest and most diverse indie arts networks in Canada! We know we have a lot to learn, and we think maybe you can help us.
We produce events, notably a live inter-arts showcase called the Monthly Mess, plus podcasts, indie group blog, boutique; and we have major schemes for the months and years ahead. More about us here:

The job will be to work closely with the Indyish founders and Team to keep goals in sight, details nailed down, and plans on track, while we work to evolve from amateur to pro status.
The ideal candidate has/is:
- willing to volunteer
For now this is a volunteer position. We are looking for as much time as you are able to give, perhaps the equivalent of 6 hours a week, but very much determined by your availability. We would prefer someone who is interested in being involved over a full year, and who is motivated to make this volunteer position a career for themselves or someone else in the near future.
- some experience in arts-related fields, open minded love of the arts and artists.
- experience organizing financials [ideally some knowledge of non-profit and for-profit]
- general business acumen
- not scared of paper work
- comfortable on the phone
- spreadsheets are sexy: budget, contacts, skill tracking, etc.
- money makes sense to you
This position is senior, student, queer and minority friendly. Telecommuting is a-OK.
