Blindness by Saramago was slipped to me by a cringing friend who said his dad had loved it, but he hadn’t been able to finish it when he’d tried it himself – too disturbing. It ended up being one of my favorite books, the political satire is damning and hilarious and cruelly good. So when I heard there was a sorta sequel, Seeing, it haunted me until I bought it for myself for my birthday. Ah. And then, jamming and futzing with James Finnerty’s nice recording equipment, I had a podcasty idea. Soooo.. intrigued? Like books but don’t like to read? Check out the new series where we do the reading for you!! Sort of kidding – you just get a preview.. hope you dig.
