Raymond Scott Tribute show

by Franco

Howdy everyone … I’m writing about a fantastic show coming up very soon at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall.  March 12th to be exact.  A buddy of mine, Adam O’Callaghan has been working tirelessly for months on this project that celebrates what would have been the one hundredth anniversary of Raymond Scott’s birth.  Who is Raymond Scott, you ask?  I had no idea about the man either until Adam started telling me about him, but you have no doubt heard his music, as much of it was featured in the Loonie Tunes.  Here’s a bit from the press kit regarding the show:

So … if you like quirky cartoon music, as well as very early electronica and off kilter jazz, this show should really appeal to you.  It’s a full on show with costumes, dancers and over 60 people involved.  I hope to see you there.
