risa dickens: what are you most worried about these days?
adam shore:The status quo.

rd: what are you most looking forward to?
as: Boredoms - 77 DRUM. Eye from the Boredoms leading 77 drummers in Brooklyn Bridge Park on 7/7/07. Literally a once-in-a-lifetime event.

rd: what do you think about intellectual property, and alternative licenses for music like creative commons non-commercial?
as: It’s an excellent idea for consenting adults.

rd: how were you raised?
as:Typical suburban upbringing: MTV, Rolling Stone, record stores, pot.

rd: what do you think of the merlin/myspace deal?
as: As the majors continue their decline, indie labels will be the new establishment. It’s important right now, when the new rules are being written, that they are heard. Merlin can be a great part of that.

rd: what is the future of music, do you think?
as: Jenny Toomey’s second best project ever, after Tsunami.

rd: do you actively hate anything? if so what, if not, why not.
as: Indie music catholicism, and god rock.

rd: what advice would you give independent artists - musicians but also publishers, fashion designers, illustrators, filmmakers etc?
as:Collaborate.

rd: do you think “big government” could work if there were no vice laws? what would happen without them?
as: Power to the people!
