“Zeppelin c’t'un cover band” is a one-man-show, part lecture, part theatre
performance, about the original blues and folk songs from the 1920’s, 30’s,
40’s, 50’s and 60’s that Led Zeppelin recorded in the 70’s and claimed as
their own.

A Convulsive Ice Syndrome has devastated the city. Four Montrealers, now sweltering in a June heatwave, struggle to adapt and survive. But rumours of another Random Weather Inversion cause panic. Is it time to leave the island?

Episode 4, “Revelations”

After another mysterious dream about his father telling him a fable about the Princess and the Sorcerer, Superhero has become very confused about who to trust. The Guitar Player and Bass Player have little pity for him though: this was the life he chose after all. Superhero realizes this but he just doesn’t know where to start…

There are still four episodes remaining in this epic tale: they will continue to be uploaded to www.superherolive.com, one per month, until August. The series in its entirety will be performed “Live!” at the 2007 Edmonton Fringe Theatre Festival. The next episode — Episode 5, “Evolution” — is scheduled for release on May 27. Don’t miss it!!!

Episode 3, “Entrapment”

Superhero has discovered that he has accidentally become involved in a secret bio-research weapons scheme to concoct a super-soldier serum. The Beautiful Scientist injected it into him in order to save his life, but it has had some unintended side effects… most notably, the knife embedded through his heart can not be removed!

Superhero has also developed strange new abilities: he has a weird sixth sense and can telepathically fool people that he is invisible. In order to test his new abilities, the Shady Character has Superhero spar with a giant robot named George. Just when it seems that Superhero is going to get smeared by George, he suddenly is destroys the robot with burst of energy!

However… it may have been too late. The surge of adrenaline causes Superhero to faint away…

… only to land in the arms of his father, Al, who waits for Superhero in the mist of his own dreams!

Episode 2, “The Impossible”

After being beaten and left for dead by masked thugs, our hero finds himself in an other-world, talking to two musicians about “a choice” he has to make. They seem impressed with Superhero and suddenly he finds himself speaking to a Beautiful Scientist with a glowing, green syringe…

Superhero is fading fast — the knife has pierced his heart, and the Beautiful Scientist has only one option to save his life. When she injects him with the syringe, Superhero is suddenly bursting with renewed energy and power!

But was it a dream? Superhero then encounters his father, Al, speaking to him from the depths of his memory. He tells him a fable about a Sorcerer and a Princess: Superhero recognizes the “Princess” as a young version of the Beautiful Scientist.

But who is the sorcerer who seeks to entice her with promises of untold power…?

Episode 1, “Origin”

A lowly security guard stands outside Genoflex Laboratories - a government contracted weapons research facility. He hears a sound in the darkness…

Suddenly masked men appear from the shrubs surrounding the building. The gravel under his feet crunches as he readies himself for their attack.

As fists pummel his face from every direction, he wonders how his ambition led him to such a pathetic end. Will he ever be able to clear his father’s name? Or will his father always be known as a dirty cop, and his son remembered only as a failure?

Will the two ghostly figures watching from the shadows intervene? One holding a glowing guitar, the other a mighty bass - they play with an unearthly intensity as the young guard is battered by half a dozen balaclava-clad thugs, and are seemingly oblivious to his cries of pain.

Or are they?

The adventure is just beginning…

Le Cirque de Desolation is set in The Clandestine Uvian State Mental Sanatorium Penitentiary Interrogation Internment Detention and Correction Center where the inmates are fortunate, they are taught to Forget.

The play is the story of madness, brutality and killing told from different perspectives, each perspective a different version of the same old story of invasion and justified war. Bobol’s manifesto is an exciting, New manifesto of Absolute Fear and Absolute Hatred and he is determined to Control Time.

The in-mates; Blabla, Colorado Joe, Harry Porter cry out in despair from their blinded realms of hell while La Matrona Luna diagnoses the escalation of extreme violence as Global Cyclotic Psychosis. In the infamous words of Blabla, “This play is palpably insane”.

Le Cirque de Liberte

The Uvian Imperial Forces and its allies invade Padaq as part ot the never-ending war to control the gateways to the world’s richest porridge wells. Le Cirque de Liberté, The Uvian State Circus, has been appointed to make this war the most exciting extravaganza ever staged. Bobol and Blabla, two clowns of Le Cirque de Liberté, have the enviable task of covering this spectatle for Uvian Television’s new inter-active 24 hr War Channel.

In the theatre of war Bobol and Blabla become intimate with Harry Porter, the over zealous embedded Hollywood reporter for the UK’s International Echo and Colorado Joe, a somewhat disillusioned Marine from the Uvian Military. However, there is some rivalry between Harry and Colorado, as they both want to write their “war novels” and sell the film rights. Blabla too wants to write his memoirs as a form of therapy but even in this Bobol is looking over his shoulder inhibiting his style. The Dragonman is the Voice of Uvia and is intermittently heard reminding us how to be true Disciples of Liberté, Circusticians, and to follow The Supreme Circus Master, “The True Cyclopath”. In the infamous words of Blabla, “This Farce is palpably Absurd”.

Le Cirque Du Paradis - by Noel Macken

Le Cirque du Paradis is indeed a parody. The play is set in a circus after a new Circus Master has taken over and wants to impose radical reforms on the circus all in the name of “Modernization”. The two main characters in the play are two clowns; Bobol and Blabla. Bobol is sucked in by the charisma and power of the Circus Master and soon ends up a middle manager espousing the New Circus dogma, “Circusism”. Either you are part of the Circotic Circus or you are not.

Blabla is determined to survive. In the infamous words of Blabla, “this play is palpably absurd.”
