The Pocket Field Guide is full of perfect bits of storytelling and other kinds of information. This small publication comes out of Atlanta, with contributors from all around and even Montreal (Risa- indyish founder- is a regular language lesson writer for the PFG’s). Hang it on a hook in the barn, or off the nail that protrudes from the corner of the book shelf you made, that’s what the hole is there for. Stick it in your back pocket, carry it around, and write in it your own notes on the season.
