Tuesday February 26th, Plants and Animals celebrated the release of their new album, Parc Avenue, at the beautiful Sala Rossa in Montreal. David Macleod warmed up the foliage-strewn stage, with fellow Timber-member, Katie Moore sharing vocals and a guest appearance by Emma Baxter of Orillia Opry. By the time Plants and Animals got up, giggling about the smoke machine that marked their arrival, the entire room was packed with eager fans and friends wishing them congratulations before they head off on tour with the new record.
Visit the Ships at Night website and you’ll get a sense of the serious member-sharing that connects David Macleod and his band with Plants and Animals.
Parc Avenue is out on Secret City Records, the classiest label in Montreal. It really comes across that they’re proud of their bands and want to share that with everyone.
Order Parc Avenue and check out Plants and Animals’ old releases direct from the band or at Secret City.
