Photowalk with Comedy OFF the the Main

If you’re going to photowalk with 4 of the funniest people in Montreal, please take note:

Bring a tripod. Gut-wobbling guffaws lead to blurry photos.

Bring earplugs. While you’re photographing one of ‘em, the rest will be behind you, airing their sometimes rude, often hilarious & always insightful observations about the subject squirming before the lens.

Don’t go for dim sum an hour before the shoot. A stomach full of dumpling goodness does not handle gut-wobbling guffaws well.

Asaf (the tallish one) will maintain a constant stream of verbal absurdity, interrupted only once to to take a call from his mother.

DeAnne (the girlish one) will try to keep everyone to a strict timetable, while offering up the occasional accidental cleavage shot & pithy remark. She also has a very nice neck. Tell her that.

Peter (the beardish one) will tie the perfect bow-tie knot with gentlemanly precision. Then he’ll make fun of Safi’s mother.

Christophe (the sweatbandish one) will perform dizzying feats of eyebrow gymnastry. He may have contributed to the group verbal ripostes, except his shoot took place 2 days after the others’, and he braved the wintry winds for a very chilly hour in order to grab available light. Maybe all that eyebrow raising was to keep ‘em from freezing…

You know what? I’ll leave the funny stuff to the pros. I just took the photos. Go get some funny from the smart, witty & hilarious folk who know how to dish it out.

This Wednesday is a big show at Comedy OFF the Main. Peter Radomski (Voted Montréal’s #1 Comedian by the 2007 Mirror Poll, Hosted Indyish MonthlyMess 10 December), Asaf Gerchak (Rising Star of David) and DeAnne Smith (NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’. hosted Indyish Monthly Mess 6 September) will all be doing extended sets. Christophe Davidson will be your MC on this magical journey of laughter and Montréal’s Homegrown Comic, Rodney Ramsey will be opening the show.

Hi Tessa - thanks! The Off the Main team had come up with a 4 poster teaser campaign for this event. I’ve been hearing a lot of nice feedback from friends who’ve seen the posters up around town.
