So when I first found out that some my favorite people in all of Canada were playing a show in Toronto, I thought, hey, why not go visit? But then school got insane, projects were crazy and it wasn’t so attainable anymore, until I pulled an allnighter to finish my final gown, checked craigslist for a last minute ride, and hoped on a car with total strangers to make my way to Toronto for a whole 24 hours. The Paper Cranes played a show at Wrongbar, a new beautiful venue/bar on Queen Street for a really lively crowd. People in Toronto really do seem to be happier! There was lots of dancing to be had and I even caught myself doing the standing-at-a-show-with-my-arms-crossed which is the official Montreal dance move and was really annoyed at myself, so i awkwardly tried to rock some sweet dance moves while balancing beer and a really heavy camera around my neck- not so hip. Point is, I believe that these guys are going to be huge, so listen to them before they become really famous so you can tell people how much cooler you are to have discovered them ”before they became really big”.
