Chris Jordan’s photographs provoke a response by making visual the mind-boggling numbers of statistics. In his series, Running the Numbers he deals with the epidemic scale of the physical and ecological effects of human habits. The photo above is a detail of Barbie Dolls (2008).
Depicts 32,000 Barbies, equal to the number of elective breast augmentation surgeries performed monthly in the US in 2006.
