Open Source Arts Access with Peace Love and Happiness

by Risa Dickens

Want to get a great idea of how the arts aspects of open source are evolving? You’ll get a huge dose from the aggregator built on a site called, of course, peace love and happiness. The site might be dizzying at first because it has so much info, but I think you’ll want to check out the left column, below the fold (ie; scroll down the page.) In that area of the site you’ll find listed some very high quality programs for arts, including many we’ve talked about and used here before. Because this site aggregates feeds from the websites of these programs you can go there to get a quick glimpse into what they’re all up to. If you happen to be checking out and loving Celtx via the Assembly, who knows, you may want to poke around at some of the other free beauties out there!

If you like it and are feeling the call of your inner geek, add the Creative Commons search to the Search on your Firefox browser for a full moment of relishing in the open source ish.
