No Stores are Open on Mondays, except Drawn and Quarterly

by Marilis Cardinal

So I headed out into the Mile End with the intention of taking pictures of some of the lovely boutiques in the Mile End, but what I didn’t think of checking out, was the fact that for many local shop owners, Monday is the day of rest. However, if you’ve yet to stop by the new Drawn and Quarterly store located on 211 Bernard West and are complaining about the weather and how bored you are of staying indoors with nothing fun to do, well say no more, put on a good pair of rubber boots and treck on down there and take your pick out of the beautiful rows of shiny new books. I don’t know about you, but the thought of that sound a book (and in this case, comics also) makes when it opens and the cover cracks, gosh, that’ll turn away those Febuary blues! Check out their website for a preview of the artists that will be keeping you awake
