Yesterday I was loving the pretty pretty Nista sounds in the morning-turned-afternoon while watching the sunny street come alive outside the window and the people popping up in tweets (come find us! @indyish!) Today I’m loving it in the rain.
Nista’s got a free EP song up for download on their website that they were kind enough to give us a heads up about, and also this darling stop motion mini music video. I think the reason I like stop motion with small plastic toys has something to do with Freud’s uncanny; it’s us but not us, but it feels like us, and the ways we stutter through out motions, and the ways those stutters are partially timed to the music that humms and flutters through our lives, helping us make our selves up into something before it fades out and along, and we mosey on, making the best of things, trying to remember the basics like Eat Food, Drink Water, Hold Hands, Dance in Circles.
