this post really stuck with me this week, we’re gearing up for summer indyish shows and all the stress of booking can distract from remembering that the whole point of doing this is for the moment of joyful connection during the show when the pieces fall into place (or partial mess) and it’s like you feel a wave go through the room of people remembering to just be alive, hear music, dance, laugh, that we are just participating in a collective experience that’s happening in countless rooms around the world, that the experience is reason enough, that the “high stakes” of the day are as fleeting as this feeling… Your wife is smart =)

i’ve really enjoyed nightwood’s tour updates. brave radar is in the process of getting a minitour together and it’s been helpful to hear how it’s going for you folks.

Small error Eric asked me to rectify:
“confirming your bookings two-weeks into your tour was very unlikely to happen” should read “very LIKELY to happen”. Sorry.
