NEW DISTROBOTO MACHINES LAUNCH TONIGHT!

Distroboto machines are former cigarette machines which have been transformed to sell all forms of art instead. Since the passage of the provincial anti-smoking law last May 31, more than a hundred of these former cigarette machines were acquired by Archive Montreal, a non-profit arts organization which runs the Distroboto distribution network. Now, the first batch of transformed machines will find new homes in various bars and cafés in Montreal, with many more new Distroboto machines planned for 2007.

The launch party for these new machines takes place at Zoobizarre, 6388 St-Hubert, on Thursday, November 9. Admission is $8 and entertainment will be provided by Mixel Pixel from New York, MC Trachiotomy from New Orleans, and Montreal’s Noot.
