more small changes to the site

just a quick post to let everyone in on the latest changes to the site’s design..

Changes to the Product pages:

• the shopping cart buttons (”add item” and “view cart”) were moved from the bottom of the page to the dashed side panel on the right of each product.
• a new shopping cart icon appears at the top-right hand corner of the page when there are items in your cart (useful for reminding you in case you left items in the cart from last time you visited us).
• the “Your Total” box was moved to the top of the outer right sidebar and only appears when there are actual items in the cart already.
• a highlighted notification box appears immediately after you click the “add item”, “remove item”, or “clear cart” buttons. This is just another visual indicator that your cart has been updated successfully.

Changes to the Networking page:

• as was suggested - i have moved up the indyish-google-calendar so that it is closer to the top of the page. it is now easier than ever to access this info. check it out if you haven’t already. the calendar is a great place to go to find out about events and other gatherings happening all the time throughout the indyish artist’s network.

Changes for indyish artists:

• you can now buy any of the 3 available advertising spots at the bottom of the page (normally marked “Reserved for indyish Artists”). once you are logged in you will see the “buy now” buttons appear and you can click on these to purchase an Ad.
• the “Member Tools” page has been cleaned up and updated to include some more useful stuff for all indyish members. once you are logged in you should see a link to the page at the upper-right hand side of the screen.
• the page used to add new products was updated to include some extra info and tips on how to post, etc. once you are logged in you can see the changes if you go to the back end and click on the “Write” tab.
