More PreMess Gossip - Mlle Mille Feuilles

Yes yes it’s the August Mess. The Back to Scoooool Mess, if you like. Some of the Indyish are going Back to School so we dedicate this hopeful hodge podge to them, and in the spirit of schoolin will be featuring the works of some seriously cool Profs. I already gossiped on that a bit here. More soon.

For now, note this: We’ll also be welcoming (delightedly) a dancer who has graced our Monthly Mess stage before, in very different guise: turns out one of the hysterical and hard hitting Dead Doll Dancers - who did the pussy thrash when we had the Mess at the PLayhouse, much to the delight of the Gazette reviewer - is also a dancer trained in the intricate steps from the Baroque period. Ha!

She goes by Mlle Mille Feuilles and sent us this picture. We heard about her bc one of her fellow Dead Dolls noticed we’d had a Baroque trio at a past Mess - Tabarnaks D’Epoque - and poked me to see if we could get them in touch. I promptly harrassed the fine lady to come join us. Now it sounds like she’s rallying some live Baroque instrumentation to join her and all will be doing two short pieces, midst jazzy meta narrative, vj’ing, post pop rock, immersive video poetry and more, during our wild MonthlyMess night for Indyish members and lovers and guests, August 31 at the Main Hall.
