Here’s a new video for Miracle Fortress’ Have You Seen In Your Dreams. It’s directed by Sinbad Richardson, whose other work can usually be found at Vienna Pitts.com (although right now his website takes you to a GIF of a winking ape). The video was made by animating video footage onto magnadoodles!! Produced by Patricia Boushel of Pop Montreal and the NFB, with support from VideoFACT.
Adam Waito (of Telefauna and Miracle Fortress) put some tunes up on a myspace for his new project Adam and the Amethysts. I think the influences he lists do the songs more justice than a description from me. He lists: Northwestern Ontario, psych compilations, the Who’s Tommy, tropicalia, Electric Light Orchestra, The Zombies, Neil Young, post-Beatles side-projects, ’90s indie rock and says it sounds like: spring reverb, meager circumstances, Rod Stewart. Congrats Waito! His CD will be out shortly on Pome Records, just you wait.
Miracle Fortress are touring the states with Most Serene Republic before they jaunt over to Europe for some shows with Secret City labelmates, Patrick Watson and his band. For tour dates visit the Miracle Fortress myspace. Their homecoming show is April 17th at Sala Rossa in Montreal. For tickets, stop by Phonopolis or Casa del Popolo.
