Minor site redesign

We moved around a couple of things on both the Front page and Blog page. Take a look and let us know what you think by clicking on the little red “F” that appears throughout the site (on the right just above the sidebar).
What’s New:
- 5 most recent products with tiny category icons moved to the center of the front page
- fast navigation icons located above the right sidebar available at all times
- cleaner, leaner blog page with most recent post and 15 archived titles
- “Events” link added to the top-right part of the header for current info
- placement of advertisements moved around and is more tightly weaved into the site
- a few other minor stylistic improvements, font sizes, color of post titles, spacing, etc
- some speed improvements resulting from optimizing the sidebar
- fixed big gap of white space that sometimes appeared on product pages
- the ability to add comments to Artist Profile pages
- improved support for Opera 9 web browser
there’s probably some other stuff i’m forgetting right now and a whole lot more on the way so stay tuned! oh and as always, if you happened to stumble on any bugs (new or old) - please send an email directly to bugs @ indyish.com.

Wow, Elran you are the King. So many great changes!
Hurrah for 5 most recent blog posts on the front page! a nice way to bring colour and artists’ work into immediate view.
Hurrah for the new Events page! now we can keep track of upcoming events and check back in with past ones.
Hurrah for the icons at the top of each page and the legend for what they mean.
Hurrah for archived blog posts! People were asking about this.
And Hurrah for all the hidden speed improvements and browser capabilities. The invisibility of these changes is how they really improve things.
Overall, the site looks and feels great! Way to take people’s comments, indyish’s needs, and extensive nerding power and make them all work together.
p.s. The FAQ page seems to be back in order. Thanks again for covering my ass.

and hey tessa- thanks for the ‘what’s this?’ suggestion for the small top right icons. i’d been looking for a way to use a map key for some of our icons and this works perfectly. good idea, non intern!
