Methinks Presents NYC Roadtrip6[66]
New York City Parks Archival Installation
Manhattan, New York City, USA

We arrived in New York safely and rested. On the day of arrival we
explored a number of locations around the city for the Archival
Installation. Upon returning to the hostel work by 86 artists was arranged
on custom made clip hangers and mounted on the Portable Wall Unit.

We left the hostel at 10 am Thursday October 26th. Our first installation
took place in the middle of Washington Square Park, which is in the heart
of the NYU campus and on the border of both the East Village and Greenwich
Village. Dozens of onlookers stopped to check out the display including
an NBC news crew and a movie crew and added a -what is going on here?-
type of vibe to the park.

After 5 hrs in the park we moved, via dolly, to Union Square where we
remained for the duration of the day. The Union Square audience proved to
be diverse and plentiful. Business people on their way to the subway,
tourists shooting pictures and skaters who were just enjoying the spot
were just some of the people who took some time to check out our Archival
Display which ended at 9pm.

This installation took place in congruence with the Methinks Presents
Roadtrip series.
