MECC 3rd Anniversary

The Mile End Cultural Center will be having their 3rd anniversary this weekend with many different activities to choose from starting with a vernissage this Thursday at 6PM at Green Room. The vernissage will feature artwork, flyers and pictures from both Green Room and Main Hall throughout the years. I will be displaying a few pictures, so come check it out! The event starts at 6 and is RSVP (you can do so at media@mileend.ca).

For those willing to stick around or come later, Andrew Rose will be playing the second edition of his monthly DJ night at Green Room called Vintage Violence.

Mile End Cultural Centre celebrates its 3rd Anniversary!
After three years of hyper-activity the Mile End Cultural Centre will host a series of events to
celebrate the centre’s vibrant cultural programming.
The festivities kick off with a retrospective vernisage on Thursday March 29th at 6PM. The show will feature artwork from past shows, photos taken at events over the last three years, and otherartifacts posters and flyers etc.
The triumvirate of shows will be packing out the weekend. First, on Friday the Electro soiree will
feature the ice cool live show of Frigid, along with former Echo Kitties Automelodi and DJ Sean
Kosa. Saturday night will feature Montreal’s vintage rock kings the Royal Mountain Band,
Toronto’s Diableros, and also Montreal’s Kill the Lights and Famous Lovers. The weekend
comes to pop bang on Sunday night when The Stills play a special intimate show with there
francophone friends Chinatown.
With this celebration the Mile End Cultural Centre will be raising its profile in a bid to become a
recognized “Salle de Spectacle” by the city of Montreal. Join the fun and join the Mile-End
