Martin and Lara’s Telefauna Video - screening at Video Party

by Risa Dickens

So, the students from the Advanced Television and Video class I TA’d two years ago keep cropping up in delightful ways and places.. this time it’s Josh Usheroff throwing another of his fun video parties, which this time happens to feature the piece Martin and Lara made for our first ever MVMC back in August. Martin (*safe solvent) has been exceptionally wicked about promoting their video, and getting hooked into opportunities and events like these. And why the heck not- the video is stellar. Recently we noticed that, although our MVMC videos posted on YouTube and Revver weren’t getting all that many hits, Guba was shooting through the roof (comparatively) and Martin and Lara’s was leading the pack with nearly 23 000 views. Awesome. I can’t wait to see what they do this time!!

Here’s the invite from Josh to that there video party I mentionned…

That’s right, we’re back with another wild night of video, music and festive glee. As you know, each event is based on a specific theme. This time it’s all about “Music & Movement”.

We’ll be screening John Londono’s collaboration with Dandi Wind; Sinbad Richardson’s Making Music with Dishwasher (Dishwasher is a “Think About Life” solo project); *safe solvent’s take on a Telefauna track; David Seitz’s Forest Frenetic; and a slew of other visual delights.

Dj Milton Clark will spin tunes ‘till the morning light.
