I saw this last night with a friend after we found out "Un peu de tendresse..." would be sold out. I came out feeling like I should see the Usine C show.

I wasn't as frustrated with what I saw at Agora, but I'll admit I felt like I wasn't sure what I'd seen. I'm no dance critic, and I'm only starting to learn what to look for in dance. It's clear to me the dancers were quite amazing, and I did enjoy watching them... but everything else felt a little out of place; don't get me started on the video. And whispered voices? Ditto.

After the show, my show-partner (who clearly had more to critique then I) took me home and showed me some dance videos on Youtube choregraphed by Edouard Lock. now i know it isn't fair to compare, but she did this to show real risk and what excites her in dance. And watching that small youtube screen and feeling my jaw drop I realized that it wasn't my lack of understanding dance that held me back "getting" lifelines...
