August 5th
12:00pm - 12:30pm — What is Indyish?
12:30pm - 2:00pm — 24hr Consistent Variable Project. Kit pickup, Quick History of the Project from designer Clayton Evans. Slide show from the Consistent Variable Project Workbook, design consultation from pro’s.
2:00pm - 2:30pm — 24hr Music Video Contest. Contestants receive their songs.
2:30pm - 4:00pm — Madcap Clothing Swap and Donate. Unswapped items to Mile End Co-op on Bernard.
August 6
12:00pm -3:00pm — CVP’s come back in- Show and Tell, photograph each one, with artist.
2:00pm - 3:00pm — Filmmakers drop off their music videos.
3:00pm — Intro to awesome OS tools for Artists.
9:00pm — The Indyish Show
MC’s for the evening: Darren Curtis from Kidnapper Films, and Claire Brosseau, yes: the one hot, straight, hilarious female stand up comic in Montreal is on our team. Watch out.
Performances by: Sara Johnston and Shoot the Moon.
DJ’s spinning: Gblott, Himo and Ben take turns driving us to dance.

thanks for your interest!
to participate in the music videomaking you should come to 5390 st.laurent for 2pm on saturday.
5390 st. laurent is a venue known as the Main Hall or the Mile end cutural centre- it’s just south of St.Viateur, and it’s upstairs from a bar called the Salon Vert.
To participate you need all your own equipment, or a helpful and technically hoooked up friend.
we’re telling people they need to be able to burn to DVD (which we supply) but if you really can’t swing this, we may be able to play to music video off your camera. but this will make the whole judging period hard. i think many copy shops have dvd burners though.
if you have no equipment, you can still participate- check out this site: jumpcut.com. It’s free, online video editing software, and you can use footage from that site for your video, or check out the footage on archive.org. so you could do the whole thing without shooting any new footgae, and without owning video editing software. which i think is amazing.
i think if you come early a bit there will definitely be tickets at the door, but i can’t know for sure.
