Hey,
We hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful start to the summer. Here’s what’s been going on with us. Writing for our forthcoming album is progressing well, and we’ve got a few new tracks to play for you this summer on tour.

First off, all you Toronto heads get ready - we’re coming large in June. Come watch us rock the NXNE Kickoff Party at Nathan Phillips Square on Wednesday June 7th. We’re hitting the stage at 1pm.

Then on Friday June 9th come show your love at the Gypsy Co Op (817 Queen Street W) as we deliver a different set for “The Cybercrib” sponsored showcase. We only get 30 mins to play and we get going at 10pm sharp, so don’t be late. If you missed us on Wednesday and Friday you can still catch us at Yonge & Dundas Square on Saturday at 2pm. No worries Hamilton, you’ll not be forgotten. We’re coming back to the Pepper Jack Café (38 King William Street) on Saturday June 10th to open for the Budos Band, featuring members of The Dap Kings (Sharon Jones), Sugarman 3 and Antibalas. This one is going to be hot! We get going at 9pm and it’s 12$ at the door.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that we’ll be making our inaugural tour across Canada this summer so please make sure you come say hi. All the dates are up with details etc. on our Myspace page (www.myspace.com/kobayashijazz) and they should be up on our website soon. Hope to see you soon!

L’été est finalement arrivé, et c’est le temps de passer à l’action! Le nouvel album commence à prendre forme, et plusieurs nouvelles chansons seront mises à l’épreuve sur scène cet été.

Tout d’abord, on livre trois spectacles differents à Toronto: aux cérémonies d’ouverture du “North by North East” (Nathan Phillips Square, le 7 juin à 13h), au Gypsy Co Op (817 Queen St. W, le 9 juin à 22h), et au Indie Music Market (Yonge & Dundas Square, le 10 juin à 14h). Puisqu’on ne peut oublier Hamilton, on est de retour au Pepper Jack Café (38 King William St.) le 10 juin avec le Budos Band, qui inclut des membres des Dap Kings (Sharon Jones), Sugarman 3 et Antibalas. Nous passons en première partie, et l’entrée est 12$. Celui-ci en vaut vraiment la peine!
