-Hi Bionic, why are YOU doing a Kinks tribute?

I guess like anybody we love The Kinks and think Ray Davies is one of the best lyricists ever. How the hell does he remember all of those words though?

-What period or practices of The Kinks inspire you most? Big leather capes Kinks, or?

I am more into the early kinks and their raw slicing speaker with razor blades style compared to the dandy period or the later “Come Dancin” years. I think Village Preservation Society is a good fork in the road record of their career and afterwards I kind of lost interest.

-Why play covers?

They’re fun. It’s also a good don of the cap to genius and keeps Bionic’s musical imagination on it’s toes.

-Why do you think covers are so popular at shows?

It’s kind of like being a DJ with real instruments but you are also able to be liberal with interpretation which is fun.

-Kinks could cover one of your songs, which one would you have them cover?

60 Cycle Hum.

-What sort of kinks does your band have?

We are sexually attracted to cats, linoleum and toothpaste.

-If you could take the Kinks out on the town for one night in Mtl…?

La Ronde or the Insectorium (season permitting.)

-If the Kinks hadn’t been banned from the US for 4 years in the ’60s how would the world be different?

We would be riding unicorns and catching rainbows.
