Indyish Needs Some More Volunteers!

With the March Mess less then a week away, we’re looking for some mighty fine folk to serve pancakes, man the cider and drink the door. Er… And some folk to document it all.

Here are the volunteer posts we’re looking to fill:

[Mini]Van Volunteer
Got a van? Got some time? Helping us move some stuff around will earn you free drinks at the Mess as well as gas expenses. Please contact me ASAP if you think you’re our guy or girl.

Setup/Strike Volunteer
Are you available Friday, Saturday, Sunday day? We could really use some extra hands setting up the space or getting stuff to the venue. Available after the event? We’ll need some able bodied volunteers to strike the venue and return some of the gear. Either post will earn you several free beers and staff pricing (2$ per beer!).

Event Volunteer
This is our first and most general job. We need volunteers to man the door at the Mess, serve pancakes and keep the space (realtively) syrup clean. Each shift is 3 hours long (6.30pm-9.30pm and 9pm-Midnight) and gets you a free drink as well as special staff pricing for the rest of the night.

Bar Tenders
To man the bar, we are looking for 2 mildly experienced individuals to hold down the fort for each of the two shifts, the 7-11pm shift or 11-3am shift. Bar tenders get special staff pricing on drinks and 2 free drinks.

Video Volunteer
We need 3 able bodied camera wranglers to shoot the Mess over the course of the evening. We’ll be providing the gear, you bring your mad skillz. These volunteers will only be needed over the course of the show (which will be over before midnight). You’ll earn 2 free drinks and staff pricing.

Video Editor Volunteer
This is a post-event position. We need an enthusiastic individual to staff a computer the day after the event and edit the footage shot by our video volunteers into something we can mount on Indyish.com.
Free drinks will be provided to you at the event. You will also be handed whatever media you will need at the end of the event if you are available. You will also earn our love and respect.

Photographer Volunteer
Documenting the Mess is key to making Indyish.com the hub for all post documentation. We need a couple able bodied photographers (with their own cameras) to come and shoot each performer/presenter. Photographers get 2 free drinks and staff pricing. We ask that you also bring the necessary connection tools to upload your photos at the event.

Audio Volunteer
If you can propose an easy, quality way for us to record the show, please get in touch with me. We need you!
