Indyish Insta Boutique - Dec 16-17 - Poster!

People are still signing up and we’re finalizing floorplans for how we’ll turn Club Lambi into an insta-Boutique next Saturday. Jewelery artists, painters, woodcutters, and organic soap makers are coming out of thin air to help make it a Holla-Day arts sale to remember.
We’ll have a wicked collection of nice, classy and interesting clothes by some top notch local designers, like complexgeometries and Hastings and Main; and a whole lot of unique and well fitting tshirts, made by Dayna Gedney, Luka-sky, Plumage, and Worn Fashion Journal - including everybody’s favorites, the Bike Shirt, and Buddah Skates. Classic.
We’ll have handmade tuques and songbooks by crochet-er/composer Emily Doolittle, and maybe even some sexy underwear too! We’ll have CD’s, EP’s, and books and magazines- like the ever lovin Worn (who was interviewed for the Gazette this week!!) and hopefully Lickety-Split and some selections from local independent press, Conundrum.
We’ll also be showing and selling work by some new Indyish artists - folks who are working on their profile pages behind the scene - including weird and eye-popping wood cut prints on cards by Taro Studio, delicate and elaborate screen printed calendars, AND some beautiful canvases of art, done by some of the most talented graffiti artists currently working in the city (at least, in my opinion).
These graffiti canvases will be offered for silent auction, so come check the art, set your own price and see if it ends up being yours to keep.
While all this yearning for gorgeous indy gear is going down, and hopefully some shopping too, the bar will be open for mid afternoon beering, and a spectaculous crew of dj’s will be gently but insistently rocking you. So even if you’ve already blown the budget, you should come hang out and socialize… Call it “networking”!
Here’s the poster for the boutique! Thanks to Maryanna of Detention for whipping it together in style. You’ll start to see it cropping up around town over the next couple of days- and it’s already haunting some select spots in NGD -and when you do, please remember: Indyish Insta-Boutique, Dec 16-17 12-4pm at Club Lambi, 4465 St.Laurent, just south of Mount Royal.
