Indyish Birthday Mess at the Main Hall with Claire Brosseau!

Yes, sounds like all will be well in Mess-land for Indyish’s first birthday celebration. Despite some stress, things seem to be falling into place, and plans are moving happily forward over at the Main Hall for hosting the Indyish Birthday Mess, this upcoming Wednesday July 25th.

The new Main Hall deal is that the Mess has to be a donation-at-the-door thing (fine by us) and a private party for Indyish members and their guests… hmmm… Fortunately, you are all individually and uniquely invited to be my guest that evening at our party! We’ll also be taking sign ups from anyone interested in becoming an Indyish member in the future.

And I got great news yesterday, from Montreal’s favorite comic (we’re a bit biased here, but she did win the Montreal Homegrown contest) Claire Brosseau, who’s become a big comedy and tv star since hosting last year’s Indyish launch (actually, she was pretty beloved before, but anyway)… she’ll be joining us for this stupendous Birthday Mess!!

All the artists are great for this Mess, the Darling Demaes in particular have become one of my favorite bands, I can’t wait to see the belly dancers and the live painting, and the huge gorgeous sound of the Subcollisions, comedy, erotic readings, and and and gosh. We’re really excited about the whole thingdinger!

We plan to document the whole thing and get it up online for you sweet non-Montrealers to enjoy asap.
