Zeppelin C’est Un Cover Band - We’ve worked closely with this awesome theatre company to book bands and plan tech, we share Green Room and Lambi throughout the festival. Check out their English language press release here (pdf). Please note - all performance are at Green Room EXCEPT Saturday June 8.

Kickin it all Off:

Parade June 7- Dairy of a Lost Circus! This is not an “Indyish @ Fringe Event” but I’ve gotten to know Dom and a few other great people by virtue of some Parade-related meetings, and am stoked to march! I hope random people will show up in pasties and with horns blowing!

June 9 - Dress Whites, The Darling Demaes, The Unsettlers, Lil Andy & Karaoke Cowboy, Dj Ted the K. A roster of dear friends and some of my own currently-favorite local music. 2 of the 3 were introduced to me via Josh and the MonthlyMess, hmm. Yiinnteresting.

June 15 & 16 - Assembly2.0 Shows. Everyone comes together from different artistic backgrounds and the end result is this massive explosion of art and fun.

Fringe Club North - Green Room:

June 8 - Brave Radar and Bedbugbite - They’re new and great and I really love them both once they get going and comfortable and, in Bedbugbite’s case, trash-talky.

June 10 - What is Indie? Eve w/ Dave Cool - A Pay What You Can Benefit for Indyish, put together mostly by mister Dave Cool himself, who is remarkably sincere about the whole people-helping-other-people-out thing.

June 14 - Daughters of Joy Indie Porn Screening This is all Amber, but since it’s also a special event in the Green Room and we’re fans of Amber’s projects and she’s a most kickass Indyish member, we figured you should

June 15- Feed the Ghost and Maestrium Remember, I was choosing bands with Stefan from Zeppelin C’t'un Cover Band, and we were looking to extend and compliment the evening that would begin, for many people, with a performance of his play. Trust me, June 15 and 16 are some awesome rock nights.

June 16 - Bazou and Fred Belley More Rock! Gravelly, heart rending, language bending Rock.

Parc des Ameriques - Fringe Tent

June 17- Parc des Ameriques. Fashion Theatre w/ Seditionaire Last I heard there were some “big names” from local theatre getting involved in this boundary trouncing production.

These are the events I’ve been in on. Tristan and others from our crew will continue blogging the events they’re involved with over the coming days. We’ll also be blogging regular Indyish stuff of course, but our team is “doing the Fringe” right now, until the 17th of June, so expect mostly insights and excites surrounding that most hectic, human and hilarious of performing arts festivals, and please forgive us if we’re a little nuts right now!
