Writers are starting to finish their scripts for the Indyish Assembly 2.0. They need to be uploaded to Celtx Project Central by midnight (pacific time) May 31st, which is coming up quickly now. Once the projects are passed to illustrators, we’ll be linking to the scripts and posting them here on the blog for you to read.
Here’s the checklist of things to remember for writers uploading their projects when they’re done:
-Are you working from a Copy of the original Project? [Writers were added to a Celtx document that includes the Assembly rules, a shared starting point, and a blank script to start writing in]
-Did you include at least 5 elements of TJ’s piece? [Every writer started with the same theatre piece by TJ Dawe]
-Is your script under 10 minutes long? [To allow for production during the Fringe Festival or conversion into an animated GIF]
-Did you fill in Title Page info? (Script>Edit Title Page)
-Is your script named in the format “Indyish Assembly2-Title”?
-Is your script uploaded as PUBLIC to PROJECT CENTRAL?
-Have you emailed or private messaged Indyish with a link to your script on Project Central? [Writers can contact indyish by email or on the celtx forums]
-Does your message contain your submission info? (full name, a short bio, 5 elements chosen, Assembly feedback, Celtx feedback, contact info for mailing Projectbook)
Ok, you’re good to go!
Your script will be reviewed by the Assembly Team and illustrated by an artist before being produced as a play or animated as a GIF.
