Indyish Assembly 2.0 Call for Musicians

by Tessa Smith

From Team Assembly 2.0:

The Indyish Assembly 2.0 is a relay with scriptwriters, actors, illustrators, animators, and musicians working toward the performance of a series of plays and animated GIFs with live musical accompaniment during the Montreal Fringe Festival.

We’re on the hunt for musicians to come help out with the music part of it all. If you get involved, you’ll be paired up with a play or a GIF on June 13 and have 48 hours to come up with the music for it. You’ll get to play your piece live at the performance and screening of the plays and gifs at Club Lambi on June 15th and 16th and have it included on the Assembly DVD.

You can participate from anywhere in the world- if you’re in Montreal, you’ll be participating live on-set, but if you’re in, say, the Figi Islands, you could record and send your piece to us via Celtx, the program we’re using to pass projects along.

You can signup as a solo musician or a full band.

The idea is to have a really good time while making really good art with others. Everyone comes together from different artistic backgrounds and the end result is this massive explosion of art and fun.

So if you think you may be interested in this or know someone who would be, you can go here to sign up!
