There are 3 main pages you get when you become an Indyish Artist. Even as the layout of the site continues to change (ever so slightly) - still, the principal elements remain the same. Any information an indyish artist adds to this site, including product descriptions, images, text for your bio, your logo, etc. - ends up somewhere on either one of these 3 main pages. They are: the Profile Page, the Product Page, and the Archive Page.

artists profile page

This is the Profile Page - there a 4 parts to it.

  1. Profile Image - this is probably a hilarious action shot of you doing your thing.
  2. Profile Text - some text to let your clients know that you’re human (where you’re from, how long you’ve been doing what you do, why you do what you do, etc).
  3. Recent Products - showing up to 5 mini thumbnail shots of your most recently added products.
  4. Profile Stats - some of your stats (currently showing your total number of posts).
artists product page

This is the Product Page - there a 6 parts to it.

  1. Product Photo - this is a product shot, there may be 2 or even 3 of these.
  2. Product Description - some text to describe and help sell this product.
  3. Product Info - used to create the invoice - so price, shipping and text. (ie: the short details that appear on the bill - not a long description).
  4. Profile Photo - your photo linking back to your Artist’s Profile page.
  5. Artist’s Details - if you click on this, a brief artist’s bio scrolls into view.
  6. Add Item / Item Unavailable - this button determines whether or not visitors can buy your product. If it’s grayed out and shows “Item Unavailable”, either you want it that way, or some required detail (like shipping) still needs to be filled in before this product can go “live”.
artists archive page

This is the Archive Page - there a 3 parts to it.

  1. Product Title - this is a link that when clicked displays a preview of the product.
  2. Artist’s Details - similar to #5 on the Product page, essentially a brief Artist’s bio.
  3. Profile Photo - similar to #4 on the Product page, it’s your photo linking back to your Artist’s Profile page.
