We are dedicating a full day to zine’s and other indie publications for the art markets that are part of our Indyish @ Fringe events.
Zine makers and other indie publishers face special challenges - their production costs are high and profit margins low, and so getting involved in fairs like the Fringe Fairs can be a tricky gamble for them.
I spoke with Worn Journal publisher/editor Serah-Marie McMahon about this today, and she suggested we offer smaller spots for Zine day… Mini Spots, if you will. By dividing up the table more we can charge less, and the indie publishers who have only one publication so far may find it more sensible to pay 17$ for a small spot, then 35$ for one they won’t fill.
So now they can. Woo!
NEW 1/4 table spot for Indie Zine day = 17$
