Indie Fest USA expands to include other indies

This Indie Fest USA going down in Anaheim this weekend sounds like it’s getting some of the more interesting expansive edges of indie right by reaching beyond their original dedication to independent film. Year 2 includes indie fashion, music and visual art. It’s Anaheim, which is in Florida, and so perhaps for this reason is by Montreal standards a little odd, a different flavour of indie, if you will, which includes golf tournaments, and actresses with Maxim spreads singing in the bands (Boomkat - Tara Manning) and Miss Tean South Asia as the celebrity co-host! Rock on Anaheim…
A fledgling film festival that started in Anaheim last year is expanding its programming to include independent fashion, art and music.
The second annual Indie Fest USA kicks off Friday at Downtown Disney. The festival will feature about 63 independent films, many made by local residents.
The eight-day gathering will also spotlight indie bands, young fashion designers, up-and-coming celebrities and others associated with the film industry.
