Independent Voice Raised from the New School

I just discovered this amazing speech from the New School’s graduating ceremony this week, a firm, eloquent, and boldly independent challenge for peace; a 5 minute act of resistance caught on camera, speaking out against top down control and fear based organization.
The speaker makes me tear up and cheer her bravery, and her faith in all of us despite the darkness of the times:

thanks for sharing this great video risa. (my only beef is with the song that people slap under every politically-charged video about subversive action…) but that’s a side note. i really enjoyed watching this clip.
